In this tutorial i will teach you how to use a PSP as wireless or USB PC GamePad, it can be used to control any PC game or emulator like Nestopia, VisualBoy, Project64, epsxe, etc. Literally anything you want. If you want to use it as USB Gamepad then you’ll need a USB cable if you want a wireless gamepad then you’ll need:
A PSP with Wifi capabilities like models 1000/2000/3000 and Go. So basically all PSPs except the street model (E-1000).
A Wifi router: They usually have 1 or 2 antennas and a led that says wi-fi, if yours doesn’t its probably a regular router/modem so it won’t work.
How to use your PSP as a wireless or connected controller:
STEP1: Download and Install PSPdisp_v0.6_setup_all_platforms.exe Click OK to the warnings that may popup and at some point you will be asked to connect your PSP via USB, after you connect it PSPDisp should detect the location of the game folder, if it doesn’t just click browse and find it then click copy files.
When it’s done installing an icon will appear on the system tray, now it’s important you remember the IP address PSPdisp gives you to setup the PSP.
STEP2: Run PSPDisp on the PSP:
Now here you decide if you want a USB Gamepad or a wireless Gamepad:
USB GamePAD: Choose USB Mode and connect the USB cable.
Wireless Gamepad: First we have to configure the IP so go to change settings, and press R one time and change Host IP Address 1 to the IP PSPdisp gave you before. Then go back to main menu and choose WLAN Mode.
